Hurstbourne 5

The Hurstbourne 5 multi terrain race is being sponsored by Fast Forward Running on the 18th of April 2009.

A five mile multi-terrain race in the heart of the beautiful North Wessex downs, starting in the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant and following part of the Test Way, before meandering through woods and farmland back to the village.

Prizes for the 1st three males, 1st three females, 1st vet male (V40+), 1st vet female (V35+). T shirt for all finishers

Tadley 5.3 cross country run.

Bob, Pete and Josh from Fast Forward Running entered the Tadley Xmas X country on the 7th of December. It was on a cold and frosty morning on a field of 181 runners at 11 oclock in Tadley Basingstoke. Bob, Pete and Josh all finnished and there times and places where:

Pete Williams- 34:30. 5th place
Josh Germain- 41:54. 43rd place
Bob Chatterton-42:32. 46th place

Pete coming in 5th overall, he was 1st V40! and won a crystal vase.

Up and coming runs!

We will be running the Tadley 5 mile cross country run on the 7th of December. It starts at 11.00am at Hurst Community College in Tadley, for more info and online entry visit http://www.runnersworld.co.uk

There are also some up and coming runs in early 2009 hosted by 2.09 events, these runs will be at Dunsfold, Longleat, Lakeside and Brooklands. We will post up more details nearer the time.

Saab Salomon Turbo X

Pictures from the Saab Salomon Turbo X run in Bordon on the 23rd of November 2008.

Due to the weather conditions the course was very muddy, very wet and the constant heavy rain did not help either.
The people who ran the race were Bob Chatterton, Pete Williams and Steve Morris.

Pete Williams- 1hr 11:27secs coming in 17th
Bob Chatterton- 1hr 35:16secs coming 239th
Steve Morris- 1hr 26.44secs coming in 134th

524 people entered the race.

London to Brighton ultra marathon

Starting at Greenwich Common at 0700 hrs on Sunday 5th October, Billy Morris completed the "Extreme Run" from London to the Brighton Pavilion in just over 14 hours in the most awful weather conditions.

Training Run

A few photos from Bob and Steve's training run on Sunday 16th of November.



They covered 11 and a half miles across Long Valley in Aldershot. This is a good multi terrain area to train if you dont mind getting a little bit wet and muddy!

The shop is located in Basingstoke Town Centre, just a few minutes drive off junction 6 of the M3. Fast Forward Running can be found in Wote Street which is near to the top of town parking area, it is also very close the entrance of Festival Place Shopping Mall which also has over 3,000 car parking spaces, and is home to over 165 retailers, 30 restaurants, bars and cafes.
To find us from Festival Place head for the Queen Anne’s Square and head for the Wote Street exit, from there, look up the hill and you will see the Fast Forward Running Shop on the left hand side of the pedestrian road.



To find us from the top of town, head towards the Museum or Market Square, look down the hill – there will be two roads leading off from the Market Square: New Street and Wote Street, head down Wote Street past the Haymarket Theatre and just a little further down you will see the Fast Forward Running Shop on the right hand side of the road.
